I don't think I sat down for much of the weekend and it didn't hit me until last night. But yet, I got back up and made a couple more recipes, went to bed later than I typically do and still woke up at 4 AM this wonderful Monday morning! WTF! On the plus side I feel pretty good and haven't been yawning all morning.
What did your family do this weekend?
The Bown Family was super busy......
I did Parent pickup Friday afternoon at school so I could get in a swim before swim team practice and Jesse could have a private lesson with Coach Dani. As the team was showing up for practice, all the kids went crazy. I couldn't finish my workout and only managed about 1500 yards. I'm not quite sure if I made it to 1500 but I think I did.
While my kids had their practice I went grocery shopping. I don't know this particular store and well I'm fairly certain I paid too much and it took way too long. BUT, on the plus side, the grocery shopping was done and I got to have some alone time. WIN WIN!
Made Bacon and Eggs for me and the kids when we got home at 7 PM. Jesse says "Um, Mommy, how many eggs did you make me?" I replied "two and gave just a bit of it to your sister." "Next time, can I have more eggs" Jesse said. "UM YEAH YOU CAN!" I said. Again, another WIN! let me tell you that this boy can eat! And I'm so happy he is finally embracing better food.
Friday had a MyFitnessPal WIN!

Saturday morning I was thrilled with my weight loss but just wasn't feeling swim practice and realized as I started to make several new recipes that I didn't have everything I needed. UGH, guess you ended up back at the grocery store! Zoey, in her footed PJs, messy hair, and of course her pink cowgirl boots, headed off to Shop Rite and ended up having to go to two of them in order to find everything I needed. But it was a WIN because we managed to find everything, including the elusive Zatarain's Fish Fri! So was a big help at the grocery store and only ran the cart into a few displays. She was super excited when I let her put the cart in the cart corral by herself. This is a big step for Zoey as she typically doesn't pay a lick of attention where she is going.
Cooked cheesesteak style meatballs for lunch. And what do you know the kids LOVED them! Meatloaf mix, provolone cheese, and caramelized onions all maid into meatballs. Jesse and Zoey both ate their on a hotdog roll. SHOCK of all SHOCKS Zoey was not forced to finish her lunch and, if you can believe it, she did not take an hour plus to finish eating. OMG, this is another WIN for the Bown Family. When she was done, she said "That was good!" YES!!!!!!! One happy momma here!
Saturday afternoon Mary and I had so much fun! First we went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to get a few organizing items for my pantry. When we pulled into the parking lot there was an elderly woman sitting in the car across from us. She looked, well, like she had gas. Apparently, I said that outloud and Mary starting laughing, then harder, and well she may have passed some gas herself. Yes, it is possible that I was a 10 year old boy at that moment.
Then it was off to Hobby Lobby! Several friends have been texting me and posting on Facebook how I need to get over there. Apparently Hobby Lobby LOVES flamingos!!!!!!! I was trying so hard to stay away because well I don't need another flamingo but then I thought Who doesn't need another flamingo! I was in absolute Flamingo Heaven! I was giggling up a storm with excitement. Look at this beauty! She's going to look gorgeous in my flamingo curio cabinet!
This employee, Ruby, was having so much fun witnessing this that she ended up pointing out numerous other flamingos. Here's some pictures of things I found.
Needless to say I bought a lot of them! Some will be future gifts from Chuck and the kids, others have already been hung up in the house, and more will be coming to work as soon as it stops raining. I seriously believe I had a Flamingasm! WIN!
Which made Mary and my's next stop to see Fifty Shades Freed all the more better. As we were waiting for the movie to start Amber and I were texting. Oh I was laughing so hard! I always bring my own drink and hide it in Mary's bag, well today I brought my own snacks as well, Cheese slices and Nuts. I handed the bag of nuts to Mary and said "Could you hold my nuts please?" I thought she was going to piss herself from laughter. The Fifty Shades Freed movie was AWESOME! I have loved the series of books and loved the movies as well. I know that some folks say that the lead actors weren't the best choices but I think they did a fine job. I will be ordering the 3rd movie for my collection. Me having such a wonderful afternoon was a WIN for Chuck! 😉
Chuck and I ate a seriously late dinner. We made two new recipes, reviews coming in a separate post. They were both delicious but took an enormous amount of work to prepare. I'm thinking if I make this again I'm going to have to do some prep work the night before so it doesn't take so long.
Although I kept within my 20 net carbs for the day I failed with the calories.

Oh Sunday! I was cranky! We had so many things to do that there was no time to get to practice and I was truly worried that I wouldn't be able to get my run in. I woke up super early and listened to the rain as I read for 4 hours! 4 HOURS! I should have gotten out of bed way before I did but I was so hoping that I would fall back to sleep. When I told the kids to get ready that we were heading out to finish the shopping Jesse comes over to me and says as quietly as he can "I thought it was just going to be me and you or Daddy and Zoey. It never goes well when it is all four of us." This kid is right on the money about that, but I just didn't have it in me to do it all by myself and Chuck didn't want to do it all by himself either.
Zoey's outfit was truly spectacular for our shopping trip! She has a style all her own!
Both kids wanted to bring their own wallets and purchase something. Jesse couldn't find a thing and said "I'll just look on Amazon when we get home." LOL! Zoey got some ridiculous new wallet/purse thing. We did manage to finish the shopping without killing each other and even remembered to get the kids Valentine's Day gifts and their Valentine's Cards for school. That would have been a major fail but instead it was a WIN!
By the time we got home it was time for lunch and I made a grilled ham and cheese sandwich using Califlour Red Pepper Pizza Crust. I love these pizza crusts and they are becoming a huge staple in my life. I can still have by "bread" it just has to be made a vegetables. WIN! So I small sandwich, a couple deviled eggs, and some roasted eggplant dip. Believe it or not I could not finish all of this. I ate 3/4 of the sandwich, 2 1/2 deviled eggs, and all the dip.
Sunday afternoon consisted of organizing the pantry! I love the way my pantry looks now. WIN! Organization is my thing and when it comes to fruition it is a wonderful thing. I work hard to get the kids involved with this as much as possible so they learn at an early age how to stay organized. Jesse likes this, but Zoey, well I think she's going to enjoy organized chaos through out her life. I can't tell you how much I love her for being her!
I managed to work on the bills some and drumroll please!!!!!!! I finished my Nargle 9K at 1:15:36! I continued on to run, with some walk breaks, until I reached 90 minutes. I burned 1000 calories and felt great afterwards. My Garmin watch told me I set a new 10K record! Look at all these WINs!
Everyone wanted breakfast for dinner so once again I was making Bacon, Eggs, French toast, and home fries. Now, I only ate the bacon and eggs w/ cheese. But the rest of the family ate the other goodies as well. I could not believe how much food Jesse ate. 3 eggs with 2 slices of cheese in them, 2 slices of bacon, 3 slices of french toast with syrup, at least a cup of home fries. After he was all done, he says "no for dessert!" Dessert? Dessert? Are you kidding me? He looks at me, cocks his head, and says "What? I'm hungry!" I know that he's a growing, extremely active boy. However, he really didn't do anything all day that was active so for him to be that hungry blows my mind. He ate more that Chuck did. he ate double what Zoey and I had combined. What is this kid going to be like as a teenager?
After dinner everyone went to their respective activities. Chuck had game night, Jesse had game night, and Zoey was watching little girls play princess dress up on you tube. So I started making a couple more recipes, Fat Bombs! I can't wait to try to pistachio one as my afternoon snack today! The recipe review will come later today.
Super successful MyFitnessPal Sunday! I couldn't wait to see the scale this morning!
