This Cream of Asparagus Soup recipe is a combination of several recipes I found and then modified for my own liking. I usually make this in a huge batch and then freeze per 2 cup serving in freezer bags. This makes it easy to have soup whenever I want with little to no fuss.
I know the picture doesn't look that appetizing but I assure you it is very good. I've never been an asparagus eater but this soup is good!
Ingredients
• 5 medium (5.25 - 7") spears (15)
• 2 cups chicken broth (30)
• 1 tablespoon dehydrated onion (8)
• 1 teaspoon thyme (1)
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder (10)
• 1 teaspoon onion powder (8)
• 1 bay leaf (0) or 1 tsp dried
• 1 tablespoon fat free milk (15)
• Salt and pepper to taste (1)
• Old Bay seasoning (0)
Instructions
Steam asparagus until soft. Blend asparagus with broth and spices in a blender. Heat soup in a saucepan and serve.
