Marathon Journey Day 2

First day back at the gym today......This was a good but difficult workout. It felt great being back at the gym and I was the first one there! Not too shabby!

I worked out for almost an hour completing the workout below. While I was there my xFactor team came in and it was nice to see all of them. Part of me wished I was working out with them but I just feel FAT around them. They are all so much thinner than I am and well many exercises no matter how hard I try I just can't do them and I start to cry. I don't want to cry in front of anyone when I am trying to better myself. Just another reason why I feel it is better for me to do this journey on my own.

I know that some folks won't understand that and others will. When you are considered morbidly obese (and I've been classified as that MANY MANY MANY times) sometimes failure hurts.

Chest/Shoulder/Back Exercises

  • Push-ups (3 sets of 15)
  • Upright Row (3 sets of 12, 10, 8 with varying weight 10, 15, 20)
  • Lateral Raises (3 sets of 12, 10, 8 with varying weight 10, 15, 20)
  • Front Raises (3 sets of 12, 10, 8 with varying weight 10, 15, 20)
Quadriceps/Hamstring Exercises
  • Squats (3 sets of 10)
  • Lunges (3 sets of 10 each leg)
  • Kickbacks (3 sets of 10 each leg)
Bicep/Triceps Exercises
  • Standing/Seated Dumbbell Curl (3 sets of 12, 10, 8 with varying weight 10, 15, 20)
  • Hammer Curl (3 sets of 12, 10, 8 with varying weight 10, 15, 20)
  • Tricep Extensions (3 sets of 12, 10, 8 with varying weight 10, 15, 20)
Ab Exercises
  • Crunches (3 sets of 15)
  • Situps (3 sets of 15)
  • Leg Raises (3 sets of 15)
On top of working out at the gym today I also swam Masters this evening; 84 laps, but it was a grueling 84 laps. I told Ian that he was plain EVIL! He laughed and said "YEAH I AM!".  =)

Not too bad on my eating again today. I'm really proud of myself for focusing and working hard toward this goal. I know it's only day 2 but I will take that accomplishment.
