SKATES?????

Last week the Bown and Davis gangs went roller skating. Chuck and I haven't stopped talking about it and decided to purchase roller skates for ourselves. Chuck's should be here by Thursday and mine arrived yesterday.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these new skates. First the color is amazing! Second, I won't have to wear the rink skates anymore. 3rd, I've got a fun new way to get in some exercise.

I think Zoey might be a little jealous of these skates. When she saw them she said "OOOOHHHHH, can I....". I cut her off and said "No, you cannot try them. No, you cannot touch them. Mommy wants this for herself!". Zoey immediately tried to give me a pout and I simply replied "That only works on Daddy!".

Chuck had the same roller blades for 20 years and they broke about 2 years ago. He purchased some pretty snazzy ones!

Jesse really needs new skates too but he's out of the size that can be purchases at Toys R Us and he doesn't like Roller Blades. That doesn't leave us with many choices locally. The ones he found on Amazon don't have any ankle support. So we're going to see how he does with his current skates this week without having the ankle buckled. If he does OK, then we'll let him get the skates that look like sneakers. If not, we'll have to keep looking.

Here's to hoping Chuck's skates come in so we can go roller skating on Thursday night!
