My Bown Babies are on FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so over the moon proud of my kids! They had an AMAZING Championship weekend!

The infamous "Zaggie" using the Greenhead PomPoms for My Little Pony tails!

 Shaking their tail feathers!

This weekend Jesse and Zoey participated in the NJ Swim Short Course Silver/Bronze Championships in Princeton. The kids were super excited to ......stay in a hotel for two nights where they could run around and play with their team mates....oh yeah and to swim...in the hotel pool! Because when you have worked hard all season and qualified for a championship meet it's all about the hotel pool and not the HUGE meet your are about to compete in!

I couldn't resist taking a picture of them as they were walking, well
standing discussing which way to go. they have grown so much!

When we arrived, they checked every possible area of the hotel, mainly because it was a maze and we got lost a few times before actually finding the elevator and then our room. I only managed to get in a mile and a half run on Friday because even though I put the kids on opposite sides of the fitness room all I could hear (and I had my head phones on) were the two different Netflix shows they were watching, them saying "stop touching me", and "I'm hungry!" As our usual meal when out for a swim meet we got Olive Garden for dinner. They were more than happy to make my meal low carb for me. I was super proud of myself to be able to eat at one of my favorite places and stay on track.

They refused to take a nice picture and insisted on a goofy picture with their drinks.

Day 1 of the Championship meet resulted in:

Zoey having an awesome day!
  • 4th Place: 8 & Under 100 Yard Free relay
Shreya was part of the relay too, but had already left.
  • 10th Place out of 27 athletes: 8 & Under 50 Yard Freestyle; dropped 4.5 seconds!
  • 5th Place out of 7 athletes: 8 & Under 50 Yard Breaststroke; dropped 3.02 seconds!

  • 8th Place out of 15 athletes: 8 & Under 50 Yard Backstroke; dropped 4.02 seconds!

Jesse rockin' the house! he was unbelievably focused!
  • 2nd Place: 10 & Under 200 Yard Medley Relay
  • 2nd Place: 1- & Under 100 Yard IM; dropped 6.25 seconds!
  • 3rd place: 10 & Under 100 Yard Freestyle; dropped 6.23 seconds!
  • 3rd Place: 10 & Under 50 Yard Backstroke; dropped 4.25 seconds!
  • 2nd Place: 10 & Under 50 Yard Breast; dropped 0.21 seconds!

Day 2 of the Championship meet resulted in:

Zoey having a rougher day; too much running around I think.
  • 54th Place out of 70 athletes: 10 & Under 100 Yard Backstroke....this is the first time she swam this event and did pretty good.
  • NS: 10 & Under 100 Yard Breaststroke...Zoey missed her event. Which is a bummer because this is her favorite stroke.
  • 91st Place out of 106 athletes: 10 & Under 50 Yard Freestyle; dropped 5.96 seconds!

Jesse continued to have a stellar meet and showed that he can actually be a serious swimmer.
  • 8th place: 10 & Under 200 Yard Free Relay
  • 2nd place out of 45 athletes: 10 & Under 100 Yard Backstroke; dropped 6.72 seconds!
  • 4th place out of 52 athletes: 10 & Under 50 Yard Butterfly; dropped 4.70 seconds!
  • 3rd Place out of 10 atheltes: 10 & Under 100 yard Breaststroke; dropped 3.35 seconds!
  • 1st place out of 4 athletes: 200 Yard IM; dropped 28.21 seconds!!!!!!!!!!

All the kids behaved with their electronics.

Saturday night we had a pizza party and celebrated Sarah's birthday at the hotel. 40 + athletes and parents in the hotel's meeting room. We had a great time!

Just some more funny pictures before heading home!
Johnny decided to put on the Greenhead Tutu!

 Our mini girls!

On our way home from the meet we got lost because I'm in way too much pain to truly pay attention. So the kids got to visit Trenton! UMMMMM, word to the wise, pay attention where you are driving.

We got back on track and made it to the Vincentown Diner. As usual, we had a great meal. The drive home was quite uneventful from their until about 10 minutes from home when I could barely keep my eyes open.

Thankfully Chuck was waiting for us to arrive. He brought everything in as I proceeded to lay on the couch and pass out for several hours.
