What started out to be a great day turned out to be a very frustrating day. I woke up early and decided to read for a while. Once I rolled out of bed I realized it was going to rain pretty much all day so I got out to do my run before the rain started, almost. I ran about 3/4 of my last mile in drizzle. By the time I made it in the house it had just started coming down hard with freezing rain.
I am breaking out and I'm guessing it is from all the extra sweating that I've been doing since I really upped my exercise lately. But I'm really not liking all the breakouts. =(
The kids were so bad at swim team practice and were quite disrespectful to one of their coaches that the head coach laid into them. I don't blame her one bit as I was just about to go over and lay into them myself when she started. I don't know why they have to act this way. GRRRR! While they were misbehaving and acting like brats I did manage to get some work done at the pool, setting up practice groups and getting attendance sheets together for the month. It gave me an opportunity to work on the Team Manager program. The more I work on it the better I feel.
We got home to me spending the next several hours going through coupons and preparing the BJs and ACME lists. So off shopping we went as a family in the rain. I really dislike going grocery shopping but going in the rain in NEVER fun.We managed to get through our shopping in less than 2 hours which is a huge deal. Normally when the kids are with us it takes at least 3 hours.
I also had the kids each pick out a fruit for them to try. Jesse was such a PITA about this so Chuck picked fresh pineapple for Jesse so that when Jesse doesn't eat it Chuck and I can eat it.
For dinner I made the kids Chick Patties (vegetarian) on a role, Veggies Chips, and sliced up pineapple pieces. This is the first time either of them have had pineapple. I was really surprised that Zoey tried it immediately and LOVED it. She ate all of hers and was thrilled about it. YEAH ZOEY! Jesse on the other hand was again a PITA. He made a huge fuss about it and whined and cried. Finally I told him that he could eat it or not but if he didn't eat it he wasn't getting dessert and he would sit at the table for the remainder of the night. HE FINALLY ATE IT! Of course he said he didn't like it but guess what he will be getting again tomorrow! Actually the two of them will be getting a piece of pineapple everyday this week or until it is gone, whichever comes first. They will also be getting a banana tomorrow.
So today was supposed to be a "steak day" for me, which is you know anything about the hCG diet than you will understand. Long and short of it is that I haven't lost any weight in a few days and so at this stage of the diet I should do what they call a "steak day" which consists of nothing to eat all day except for dinner when you have a steak (any size however it should really be under 5 oz). I have not done well with a "steak day" in the past but I promised Dr. C that I would give it a try. Needless to say I only made it until 3:30 PM and then began eating everything in site. So I'm quite frustrated with the whole thing. I should have just stuck with an "apple day" like I told him was better for me but I didn't and now I regret not listening to myself. For those of you who are asking WTH is an "apple day" it is a day where you eat nothing but apples for the entire day. It usually, and most always for me, sets me straight and gets me back on track to losing weight.
I wanted to get into the blogilates programs today and just haven't made it. It's almost 9:45 PM and I'm thinking about doing some of it now. So I guess I better log off of here and get to it! Have a great night out there!
UPDATE: I managed to do 50 minutes of several different blogilates videos. OMG! My abs are on fire!
