Can she fly?
Yesterday afternoon Chuck, Zoey, and I were putting away her clothes and I had Zoey trying on her socks. She has so many and most didn't fit that I wanted to be sure. She asked why she had to throw so many things away (we've been cleaning out lately). Chuck and I explained how as you get older your parents make you get rid of things that don't fit any more or items that are broken. Chuck told her a story about his favorite red sneakers from his childhood and I told a story of some of my favorite items...saying my mommy made me get rid of them. Zoey then looked at me as sweet as can be, while sitting on Chuck's lap, and asked "Where's your mommy?" As hard as it was I explained that my mommy was in heaven; that she lived in the sky. Zoey then asked "Can she fly?" My tearful response, holding back as much as I could was "She can do anything she wants to do!". My little peanut is growing up before my eyes WAY TOO FAST!
