Red Lobster

This post has been a long time coming. I can't believe it has taken me one month (literally) to post it.

On August 1st Chuck and I decided to take Jesse and go out to eat at Red Lobster. Then we were going to Circuit City to buy our new cell phones.

However, Jesse had to stay home from day care that day because he got sick the day before. The doc had said he had a stomach virus and that as long as he didn't have a fever he would be fine to go to daycare. Daycare requested he stay on on that Friday anyway. Chuck said he was fine all day, no fever, no poopie diapers, nothing. He was fine, so off to Red Lobster we went.

Jesse was doing great at Red Lobster and we were enjoying our meal. Chuck was holding Jesse since he had easy to eat foods where I needed a knife and fork.

All of the sudden Chuck was saying something but it wasn't make sense to me. He was very upset and I had to tell him to calm down and tell me what was going on. I get up and lean over to see that Jesse was having such bad diarrhea that it has leaked out of his diaper, down Chuck's leg, onto his sock and shoe, on the bench seat and the floor! OMG! No wonder he was freaking out.

I told Chuck to take the keys and the baby and go to the truck. I would clean up the seat and floor, pay the bill, and pack up our food. It was horrible, I felt so bad for the people sitting around us. One couple asked for their bill almost immediately. Another couple (well father and daughter) was very sweet about it. I looked up at the dad (I knew he was looking at me as I am cleaning up Jesse's poop off Red Lobster's floor) I said "I'm sorry". He replied "Don't worry about it. I have kids and that's happened to me plenty of times".

At this point the waiter had come over with boxes and my check. I informed him of what had happened and that someone should really clean up well. The waiter says "whatever, I don't care. I'm not sitting there". I looked at him and said go get your manager and tell him/her what happened. It needs to be cleaned better than what I could do with baby wipes. FYI: I saw him talking to the manager.

Just then Chuck walked in with Jesse in only a diaper! I looked at him and said "what are you doing? Take him out of here." Chuck wanted to finish eating. (I'm not sure how he could have finished eating after he just went through that.) Meanwhile I had already cleaned up everything, paid the bill, and was getting ready to walk out.

We head home to get Jesse and Chuck cleaned up. Not to mention I really needed to get cleaned up myself. I wasn't dirty but after cleaning up that mess I wanted to clean up myself.

After we got home and cleaned up what did we do. Of course we headed back out and went to Circuit City to get our new cell phones. LUCKILY Jesse didn't have any more issues and was just fine for the rest of the night.

I don't think we will be able to go to Red Lobster again without thinking of that dinner.
