I had jury duty today and ended up getting picked for the jury. It was a long drawn out process and took two hours just to get us into the jury selection room. What a complete waist of time.
Once we were in there so many people had so many excuses as to why they couldn't attend jury duty. The excuses were absolutely ridiculous. One girl I thought the judge was going to get quite rude with her. She refused to be a juror. She was in the juror box but said she was the sole care giver for her 6 month old. NOW, what everyone couldn't understand was that she works during the day (he place of employment is only open 8 - 5). And that she couldn't be part of jury because she only had day care for today. Now, if she works during the day every day how does she not have day care for her child. Didn't make much sense.
So after she gave that wonderful excuse I was called. I knew it was going to be me, I could just feel it.
It's a pretty lame case as far as I am concerned, I can't talk about it until after the case which should end tomorrow, Wednesday at the latest.
