I mentioned on Saturday that Zoey wanted to go see the Easter Bunny. Jesse sighed and said "I'm not taking a picture!" A little piece of my heart broke!
"Please Jesse, take the picture for me. You don't realize how much joy this brings me." I said. Jesse replied, sighing again "You know I'll do anything for you, but I really don't want to do this." And then I gave him the same smile that I give Chuck when he knows that I've won and he has been defeated once again. Jesse sighed and said "fine". Just like Chuck does.....ha ha ha....brings me such joy!
Now, Jesse has not made any mention of his belief or disbelief in the Easter Bunny. As a matter of fact he was talking with Zoey about how much he's looking forward to our Easter Egg Hunt, and our annual Carrot Cake that we make, and the dinner we share with his GrahamCracker. He even laughed and said he hoped the Easter Bunny put a hidden egg in his underwear drawer again this year. Zoey replied with "EWWWW, that was so gross. He better not put anything in my underwear drawer this year." Hey Easter Bunny, I hope you are listening (reading) this.
This kid even went as far as to tell me how he's going to scope everything out this year, and that he thinks while they are doing the hunt outside the Easter Bunny somehow sneaks back into the house and hides more eggs in their rooms.
Now seriously, I ask you, does that sound like something the Easter Bunny would do?
Well we went to the mall as a family and the kids got their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. While we were waiting in line Jesse noticed several kids crying, laughing, being shy, and just a little stand offish from the Easter Bunny. I saw him smiling at each situation, just like Chuck and I were. My little man is growing up way too fast and I don't know if I can handle it.
Happy Easter!
For some reason I always have to take a picture of the
Easter Bunny picture, as my scanner will
not scan in their photo. It is the weirdest thing!
