Zoey Lynn has had me in the hospital A LOT in the past week.
Friday July 30th I spent 23 hours in the hospital for an observation for pre-term labor. I tested positive for possibly going into labor within the next two weeks. I got to come home Saturday afternoon.
Monday the 2nd I was at the hospital for my twice weekly NST and Zoey did not cooperate. She had to be zapped twice and she just didn't want to move. FINALLY, she started moving when they were about ready to take me downstairs to be monitored for the day at Labor & Delivery.
Tuesday the 3rd I was having contractions starting at noon, every 10 minutes. Which quickly turned into every 7 minutes to every 6 minutes. After trying to lay down, drink cold water, and a hot bath I called the OB at 3:30. He didn't get back to me until just before 5 PM. The labor & delivery ward was so busy they didn't get me a bed and hooked up to a monitor until 6 PM. By then my contractions had pretty much stopped.
Wednesday the 4th I had an OB appointment and because Zoey had only moved twice in 7 hours I was back at the hospital to be monitored in labor & delivery! Of course as soon as I laid down and was relaxing she moved just fine.
Yesterday the 5th I was back at the hospital for my twice weekly NST. Only I wasn't allowed inside because the hospital had lost power a few hours earlier and then their generator caught on fire! EEEK! But after 35 minutes they allowed me upstairs. Once again Zoey didn't cooperate. The poor nurse had to hold the monitor on my belly and push in fairly hard to keep Zoey on. Because of this the nurse wasn't paying attention to the fact that I was having contractions! Luckily they went away.
