Why on earth wouldn't a pharmacy (retail or mail order) call you when there is a problem with your Rx?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I got a letter from our insurance company in May stating that my insulin would no longer be covered without pre-authorization and asked (if the doctor agreed) to change it to a different brand. So I sent the letter to the doctor's office and they sent me a new script which I promptly mailed in to get filled.
Only to find out TODAY (2 weeks later) that the so called different brand is no longer being manufactured. The pharmacy contacted the doctor to request them to get pre-authorization for my original Rx. BUT someone at the insurance company put it through WRONG! So instead of the insurance company, the pharmacy, or the mail order service contacting me to say there was a problem they just IGNORED the person who needs said medication!
GIVE ME A BREAK! Corporate America please remember to communicate! And guess what without customers/patients/members (whatever you want to call us) you won't be around!
I am one frustrated pregnant lady! Who has had some not so lady like words to share with three organizations today!
***** After several hours the pre-authorization for my insulin has been corrected! And now the order should be processed properly. They are suppose to call me as soon as the order has been processed and is being shipped. If I don't hear from the pharmacy by 9 AM tomorrow morning I am calling. UGH!
