While waiting in the Pediatrician's office this morning Jesse was trying really hard to figure out how to open the door to leave. It is one of those doors that you push the long handle that goes across the whole door. He came close but didn't seem strong enough to push it open. I was very happy.
While being weighed just kept saying "UP" as he was holding on to this pole with a handle (for the little kids to hang on and not fall off the scale). The nurses were laughing when I told them he though it was a ride. Several of the amusement rides he's been on this year you pull the lever and the ride goes up in the air (like the Dumbo ride).
Jesse is 27 lbs and 33 inches tall. In the 50th percentile for both. His head is 19 inches; also the 50th percentile.
Jesse also learned how to open the trashcan in the doctor's office. In each room there is a trashcan where you hold the lever down with your foot and the can lid opens. At first Jesse was opening the lid with his hands. Well he finally figured out that if you step on the lever the lid opens. He was so shocked when he held onto the sides of the trashcan and stepped on the lever. The lid popped open and he let out such a squeal of laughter. It was so cute!
When I was trying to get his next appt (in 6 months) he darted for the door to the waiting area and thought it was cute that he could see me on the other side through the window. He did this twice as I was waiting to make this appointment. After I finally got the appointment Jesse decides to jump into the secretaries chair and try to schedule his own appointment on the computer! I really hope he didn't delete or change anyone's files!
So we finally made it back to the waiting area where I was trying to put everything in his bag and find the keys when he darts for the front door and gets it open! Oh Man, I guess the running start gave him the extra strength to get the door open. A lady caught him before he let go of the door.
Needless to say if I drank alcohol I would have needed a drink at this point in the day. The sad thing is it was only noon!
