So we all forget things when we go on travel right? Of course, things like shampoo, conditioner, etc.
Monday night I arrived in Westbury, NY after a 4 hours drive. I was all settled into the hotel, got my PJs on and was starting to fall asleep when I realized I forgot to bring dress shoes.
I said to myself "I will just have to make do with my sneakers" and I laid back down. Of course it was knawing (sp) at me and I had to go out and buy dress shoes.
The hotel offered to take me to the mall so I didn't get lost. By the time the driver got back from picking up someone at the train station he dropped them off and left without picking me up. It was 9 PM at this point. I had to go, so I got to the mall myself.
Funny enough it was right around the corner. This mall is so big it has parking garages. I was so lost. I found Bloomingdales of all places and headed in. When I asked the lady at the front where shoes were she looked at me like I had three heads and finally said upstairs. Little did I know. This store is three stories tall. I couldn't find where the shoes were.
I'm getting frustrated and I am so hot and tired. I couldn't take my jacket off because I still had on my PJ top (I atleast switched into my jeans).
I decided to call Liz because I knew she would be familiar with this mall. I was so lost. It took me a good ten minutes or more of talking with Liz just to find a mall directory. Which was so confusing.
I finally find a JC Penny and in I went. Only to be greeted by the absolute worst salesman in the women's shoe department. I thought all male shoe salesmen in the women's department were suppose to be slimy creeps. Instead I get the jerk college kid who was a PITA.
I got my shoes and managed to find my way back to Bloomingdales.
I was even more exhausted by the time I got back to the hotel. I had to wake up at 4 AM to be at the TRACON by 5. What a night!
