Mother's Day Weekend

So instead of having Mother's Day I had Mother's Day Weekend. It was so much fun!

Saturday Chuck, Jesse, and I went to get Jesse's six month pictures taken. We also did a Mother's Day picture session. (As soon as I get the email saying they are online I will send out a "share" to everyone.). It was a long process getting the pictures done and Jesse got fussy towards the end but all in all the pictures turned out great! I am bringing in several framed pictures for my office tomorrow!

While we were waiting for the pictures to upload so we could view them all we decided to head to Johnny Rockets for lunch. It's a new 50s diner burger place in the Hamilton Mall. The food was great, a bit pricey for burgers but good food, good service. While we were eating the waiters/waitresses did a dance number. Jesse loved it! He was jumping on my lap and laughing while they were dancing. It was so cute to see him react to all that.

Then we went back to pick out the pictures. Of course, we were waiting and waiting for someone to help up. BUT, the girl who did help us was awesome. She ended up giving me several specials at once when I was only suppose to be able to use one. I was very happy. While I was finishing up at Picture People Chuck went to get me a Mother's day card a gift. Of course, he didn't realize he was suppose to get me a gift and well he couldn't find anything for me. We had been talking a lot about Wii Fit and I decided he could get that for me when it comes out, which is suppose to be this month. I am actually excited about getting this. It looks like a lot of fun!

Then we went to Wal-Mart to get formula and other odds and end. Chuck was getting a bit cranky and I told him to deal because it was my Mother's Day Weekend and I wanted to shop. It was so funny because he goes "OOOHHH, It's a whole weekend now!" This was when I decided it had to be the whole weekend.

We ended up at Lowe's to get a edger for the grass (which we have been wanting to get for over a year). After that I took Chuck home. Jesse and I went to my Grandmother's for a visit.

My Uncle Phil and his daughter Roni were there so it was fun to watch Jesse and Roni Play together. She turned one this past March. Grandmom had so much fun playing with Jesse and Roni. I took grandmom out to dinner after Uncle Phil headed home. WOW, it was so difficult to find a restaurant to go eat at. We went to three places before we ended up at the Neptune. Neither one of us had eaten there in quite a long time.

Jesse handled dinner out with Grandmom rather well, although he did get a hold of her water class and spilled it, tried to eat my shirt on more than one occasion and then destroyed my place mat. It was a lot of fun though.

After dinner Aunt Karen came up to Grandmom's house and we were able to chat and spend some time together. It's not too often that you get a lot of folks sitting on the floor chatting while the baby plays. We had a great time! I can't wait to get together with the again. We are aiming for some time in June.

By the time I left Grandmom's it was almost 9:30. Jesse was so tired. He was asleep before we ever left the driveway.

The morning of Mother's Day was quite early Jesse woke at 6:45 wanting to eat immediately. He didn't want to wait to be changed at all. He then fell asleep on my lap for 2 hours. It was so peaceful watching him sleep. I fell asleep holding him all bundled up in a huge comforter on the couch.

We went to lunch with Chuck's mom to Red Lobster. Jesse was making faces and laughing at everyone. It was so cute! After lunch we went to the mall and walked around. Chuck's mom bought Jesse build a bear. We made a Green Dinosaur that he just loves. Everytime he sees it he makes funny noises. The Dinosaur's name is Dweezle. I'll give you one guess who named it!

We also made an elephant. He is so cute! I picked that one out. His name is Elory.

Of course, we all had to go to Chili's for dessert and get molton chocolate cake! YUUUMMMIIIEE! It is so good. By then we were all exhausted and headed to take Chuck's mom home. By the time we got home I needed a nap (because of course, I am fighting off yet another cold.) Jesse and I took a long nap while Chuck went out and edged the grass.

We were suppose to go out to dinner to Carrabba's but we were all so tired that we are going to celebrate Mother's Day dinner tomorrow.

Jesse stayed up late and didn't go to bed until 8 PM, which is two hours past his bedtime. I hope he sleeps all night. Last night he was up several times.

So all in all I had a wonderful first Mother's Day weekend.
