Bad Day

Today was my first day back to work and pretty much nothing went my way.

Got to work at 7:45 AM (Chuck was home with Jesse today so I went in early.)
I was able to log onto my computer which I was surprised I remembered the password. I had four months worth of email to go through and wanted to get started. My email wasn't so bad except for the fact I couldn't retain any email (new feature implemented while I was out on maternity leave).

I tried to go into eTES to set up my new charge numbers only it said that my employee number was inactive. Apparently I am an inactive employee. GREAT! I had to give my leave coordinator a call. Of course, she wasn't in.

I noticed that I couldn't get to any locations on the network to check out any of the work I had been assigned so I decided to reboot my PC, which normally fixes this problem. CRAP! Now I can't log back in to the network. It says my username is invalid! WHAT?

Come to find out Sys Admin wasn't informed as to when I was coming back to work so they decided to delete my user account. It will take 48 hours for it to be put back.

I also find out sometime later that morning that my leave coordinator didn't change my employee status back to active and it will also take 48 hours to be completed.

So far I am an inactive employee with no user account. This day is going just fine!

I decide to check out the new pumping room at work. So down I walk to the first floor with the pumping bag to find the pumping room is actually sometimes office (maybe he is inactive as well?) and that the office is absolutely filthy. Just wonderful! When I informed my bosses they couldn't believe it.

To top off my day my lunch wasn't very good, the company at lunch was great but the food wasn't so good. The lab tech at the hematologist office was horrible and had to stick me twice. She hurt my arm horribly and then blew a vein in my hand. I wasn't able to make cards tonight because my hand hurt so bad.

Then I proceeded to fall asleep on the couch. It has been a long day!
